NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to Section 6(g) of the General Municipal Law as amended, that the resolution published herewith has been adopted by the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Union Vale Fire District in the Town of Union Vale, Dutchess County, New York, on March 9, 2017. Such resolution was adopted subject to a permissive referendum set forth in Section 6(g)(4) of the General Municipal Law as amended.

APPARATUS RESERVE FUND RESOLUTION

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE NOT TO EXCEED THE SUM OF $175,000 FROM THE APPARATUS RESERVE FUND PURSUANT TO
SECTION 6(g) OF THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL LAW AS AMENDED FOR THE RETIREMENT OF THE EXISTING BOND ANTICIPATION NOTE OF THE UNION VALE FIRE DISTRICT EXECUTED AND DELIVERED FOR THE PURCHASE OF A 2016 CLASS A PUMPER FOR THE UNION VALE FIRE DISTRICT, TOWN OF UNION VALE, DUTCHESS COUNTY, NEW YORK.

BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Union Vale Fire District in the Town of Union Vale, Dutchess County, New York, as follows:

Section 1: The Board hereby determines it is in the best interests of the Union Vale Fire District to retire the existing Bond Anticipation Note of the Union Vale Fire District issued to purchase a 2016 Class A Pumper.

Section 2: The utilization of the Apparatus Reserve Fund for the purpose of retiring such bond anticipation note is hereby authorized to an extent not to exceed $175,000.

Section 3: Upon this resolution being adopted, the same shall be published in full in the Poughkeepsie Journal together with a notice from the Fire District Secretary in the form provided by Section 175 of the Town Law as amended.

Section 4: This Resolution is adopted subject to a permissive referendum as set forth in General Municipal Law Section 6(g)(4) as amended and will not take effect until thirty (30) days after its adoption; or until approved by the affirmative vote of a majority of the electors of the Union Vale Fire District qualified to vote at an annual election of Fire District Officers, if within thirty (30) days after the adoption of the resolution, a petition in the form and content as set forth in General Municipal Law Section 6(g)(4) as amended is filed with the Fire District Secretary.

The resolution was thereupon declared duly adopted by an affirmative vote of the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Union Vale Fire District in the Town of Union Vale, Dutchess County, New York.
